Join us at our farm on October 12 for our first ever Corn Festival!
This fall, Dream of Wild Health and the Indigenous Food Network are celebrating corn with a day of fun, food, and educational activities. Join us at our Hugo farm on October 12, 2024, from 12-4 PM!
Corn goes by many names: maize, naadą́ą́, qaa-o, mandaaminag, wagméza, wahuwapa, wičąwás-- there are as many Indigenous names for this grain as there are tribes, and then some. Corn has been cultivated for many thousands of years all across the Americas, and is a traditional staple food for many Indigenous peoples.
The Corn Festival is a day of corn-related activities including traditional food demos, farming demos, and educational programming led by our staff and community partners.
If you would like to sponsor us and help make this festival the best it can possibly be, take a look at our Sponsorship Opportunities listed below or download the file as a PDF.
Thank you to our amazing sponsors: Dave Bice, the Medtronic American Indian Employee Resource Group, the Dr. Katy Backes Kozhimannil Equity & Empowerment Fund, and the Savanna Institute!
